Description
Few areas of the law in East Africa suffer from as much a dearth of local textbooks as the Civil Procedure Law. This is often a handicap to a student; he often has no alternative but to rely on statutory provisions covering the subject and on Indian and English law. This book is an attempt to fill that void. It is, of course, not an exhaustive work on the subject, but it covers, in as concise a form as possible, most of the basic principles of the law of Civil Procedure as contained in local statutes and decisions of superior courts. Inevitably, owing to a dearth of local authorities on some topics, reference has also been made to English and Indian authorities where these have appeared to be sufficiently relevant to East Africa.
